Yoga is a lifelong travel. A tool to use what is tangible, our bodies, to connect to our spirit. Yoga as art of attention has helped me in the changing of the seasons, finding depth, inner stillness and strength.
The techniques of meditation and Ashtanga and Iyengar Yoga created
my basis to explore breath and body, so that yoga asana can be a
therapeutic practice that supports our life. Movement as expression
and spirituality in daily life has always had my interest. While
studying dance and art history, I took my first Jivamukti yoga class
in 2017, followed by a passion for eastern philosophy and yogic
studies with Seth Powel. While combining Ashtanga and Iyengar in
asana practice, bodywork techniques based on traditional Finnish
folk healing taught by Petri Raisanen can be a gracious and helpful
way to restore and rest your body. If we can receive and learn about
tools to heal ourselves, our practices can support our life. I am
truly inspired by these and other teachers like Many Ezraty, Tarik
van Prehn, Joan Hyman and Luke Jordan.
Connecting mind and body, so we can live from love, kindness and freedom - that is the true goal of yoga for me.
